BUKIT LANJAN: ‘Let me resolve the problems first, then talk later’

In his most gruelling constituency walkabout to date, Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff a.k.a Pek Moh Bukit Lanjan (White Haired Bukit Lanjan) spent four hours in Bukit Idaman today (Dec 6, 2017).

He heard out Persatuan Penduduk Jalan Jati Sri Damansara Kuala Lumpur chairman Albert Chai’s woes in the neighbourhood and drove around to inspect the residents’ complaints.

Syed Razak, the Gerakan Deputy Speaker, later spent about two hours at the Taman Idaman pasar malam (night market) distributing new year calendars and wishing residents and night market traders a very happy and prosperous New Year.

He said Chai had spoken in great length and details about the residents concern but “I do not wish to comment or say anything about it yet”.

“I have heard him out and I think the residents concerns about neighbourhood security and pollution are very real and valid. Their requests to the authorities are also very reasonable and valid,” he added.

Syed Razak, who is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan, said: “Let me use my contact and networking to help resolve the residents concerns and woes.

“There is no point for me to just talk now or blast anyone, as yet. Let me use my contacts and networking to reach an amicable settlement.

“When I succeed in helping the Persatuan, then we will let everyone know that their concerns and woes are over,” he added.

Syed Razak said “my style in looking into neighbourhood or community problems is to act and try to resolve it first. Not just talk, blame or seek media publicity”.

“Only when a matter has been resolved will I talk about it,” he said, adding that he would also continue to aggressively raise social and nation-building issues and matters via the media so that the state and federal governments are informed to act.

“If we don’t do that, and continue to pressure the authorities, nothing will get done in Bukit Lanjan,” he said.

Here’s a selection of pictures of Syed Razak’s 5th edition of his walkabout since last month (December 2016):

  1. That's the way to go Pek Moh. We ought to have more 'walk~abouts'.There are many issues affecting the Rakyat and to have a listening and attentive ear is something we as the Rakyat are hoping for.

Elected representatives are very good when it comes to Open Houses during festive seasons. Putting up posters and buntings at strategic locations to feel heard and seen.

Please walk the talk by going on the ground please. Allow the Rakyat to speak to you heart to heart. There are many issues to be mitigated and resolved.

Pek Moh you are doing well. Keep up the momentum please. We need someone to Walk the Talk like you do.
