BUKIT LANJAN: Early bird ‘Pek Moh’ Syed Razak catches the GE14 worm?

They say the early bird catches the worm and this is just what Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff did this morning (Dec 7, 2016).

And he started the 14th General Election (GE14) war with a two-hour-long walkabout in Bandar Sri Damansara distributing calenders to traders and people having their breakfast.

“Yes. We do not know when is GE14. But Gerakan is forward thinking and has identified its GE14 candidates in Selangor early so that we have time to show our worth and sincerity in serving its constituents.

“We do not want to wait for the last minute. We want to give more time to judge our sincerity and honesty in wanting to serve diligently,” he added.
Syed Razak is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan on a Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket in GE14.

“As what I have stated in my previous two blog postings (Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff and Pulse Of Bukit Lanjan), I am contesting Bukit Lanjan on two pledges.

“National Unity and Nation-Building. These are the two things I will champion in my campaign. There must be unity in Bukit Lanjan communities and there must be truly effective nation-building activities to help drive growth.

“I believe these will help Bukit Lanjan forward in the best interest of its residents or constituents. This will also enhance quality neighbourhoods in Bukit Lanjan,” he added.

Syed Razak said: “I was most surprised by the response of Bukit Lanjan residents when I distributed the calenders. They responded warmly, especially the Chinese residents, when I spoke to them in Cantonese and Hokkien.

“They were surprised and some quickly labelled me as the ‘Pek Moh’ (White Hair) of Selangor.”

Syed Razak also took the opportunity to wish all Malaysians, especially those in Bukit Lanjan, “A Very Happy and Prosperous 2017”.

Here’s a pictorial collection of Syed Razak’s walkabout:
